DAP142

The DAP142 is a Teltonika industrial wireless access point with passive PoE, engineered for enhanced and reliable Wi-Fi coverage and performance in industrial environments. This access point is equipped with an RS232 port and two RJ45 ports, and is powered via a 3-pin power connector, making it ideal for specialised industrial applications. In addition to Wi-Fi 4 capabilities, the DAP142 supports Wi-Fi mesh, Fast Roaming, and up to 50 simultaneous connections. With an integrated DIN rail bracket, durable aluminium casing, and plug-and-play functionality, this wireless access point provides simple installation and configuration at minimum effort.

SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS
Powered by a MediaTek 580 MHz MIPS 24KEc processor, 128 MB DDR2 RAM, and 16 MB serial NOR flash storage. Runs RutOS (OpenWrt-based Linux OS) supporting Busybox shell (ash), Lua, C, and C++. Includes SDK tools for development, GPL customization for branding, and a Package Manager for installing additional software.


SERIAL INTERFACE
Features an RS232 terminal block connector (TX, RX, RTS, CTS) supporting console, Serial over IP, Modem, Modbus gateway, and NTRIP client functions.


POWER
Equipped with a 3-position pluggable terminal block connector. Supports input voltage range from 9–30 VDC with reverse polarity and surge protection (>31 VDC, 10 μs max). Passive PoE is available over spare pairs (Mode B, 9–30 VDC), compatible through the LAN2 port. Power consumption is below 1 W in idle mode and under 2 W at maximum.


PHYSICAL INTERFACES
Includes 2 × RJ45 Ethernet ports (10/100 Mbps), 2 × LAN LEDs, 1 × Power LED, a 3-pin power connector, 1 × RP-SMA Wi-Fi antenna connector, 1 × DB9 RS232 socket, a reset button supporting reboot and factory reset functions, and a grounding screw.

Constructed with an aluminium housing measuring 113.10 × 25 × 68.6 mm and weighing 149.2 g. Supports DIN rail, wall, and flat-surface mounting (optional kit required).
